West on Track welcomes
work on Western Rail Corridor

The West on Track Community Campaign has welcomed the
recent completion of clearance work on the
Athenry-Claremorris section of the Western Rail Corridor and
the commencement of intensive clearance work on the line
from Collooney to Claremorris.
A spokesman for West on Track said that the clearance
work is an indication that the Government is pressing ahead
with the WRC project and that it was expected that re-laying
work would shortly begin between Athenry and Ennis.
He also commended Iarnród Éireann for the
speedy manner in which it was progressing the project.
