Claremorris 4th to 7th August 2006

Claremorris Arts Committee are delighted to announce a late addition to the line-up for the Claremorris Coming Home Festival taking place this August bank holiday weekend. A collection of photographs titled 'Slow Train' by Paul Murphy will be exhibited in the gallery room at the Town Hall.

The photographer goes on a journey along the Western Rail Corridor from Gort, Co. Galway to Tubercurry, Co. Sligo passing through the heart of counties Galway and Mayo. Despite recent clearing work on the line, what the photographer sees is still quite shocking.

Colmán Ó Raghallaigh of West-On-Track will speak at the opening, which takes place at 7.00 on Friday 4th August. All are welcome. The exhibition will also open from 3.00 to 6.00 on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
